Social
enterprises
The driver for societal, ecological & economical change.
The clearest path to tackle injustice, inequality and the effects of climate change is to transform the way we do business and to rethink our economics. Right now, we are living in a system that is built on the necessity of continuous economical growth. This growth is sustained at the cost of wildlife, nature and a sustainable future for generations to come.
Our economic systems need to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century. Every business that makes profits must also act responsibly in the world it is operating. They have the obligation to be fair to their employees, account for their entire supply chain as well as improve their environment rather than harm it. We must make this transformation of business happen and we fight to make it possible.
This fundamental change of the way we do and think about business, will be the a key to live on this planet in a sustainable fashion.
Making profit
and positive
impact.
The most sustainable approach to solve the challenges of the 21st century is the concept of social enterprises. Social enterprises have both business and social goals. In difference to an NGO or non-profit, social enterprises use for-profit business strategies to generate their own revenues. Therefore, they are not dependent on financing from outside sources, like governments or donor support.
It’s a different way of doing business, it’s a sustainable way of doing business and it’s the only rational way of doing business in the 21st century.
